Dynomax is one of, if not, the quietest of the aftermarket catbacks. There was an article I found that compared them all. The Dynomax was a little bit louder than stock but not loud at all.

Thanks! Just ordered!!! and saved!!!

$45 for a cat back is pretty good!

Good point! Maybe you should get a louder exhaust than the dynomax! A little louder than stock is all i want! And for about 50-60$ its a quarter of the price of others!

I am debating buying this just for the pipe itself and then I can weld whatever muffler I want in line as the system is 10 years old and will need to be replace soon anyway.

My question on all this is when you buy a universal muffler, how do you mount the hangers, or are they installed already in a standard location? I don't have a welder.

I just got the Dynomax catback system and installed it the other day. I have a 2.5L and was surprised at how much louder it was. Either I'm getting used to it or its toning down but it almost bordered on a ricer sound with my little 4 banger at first, now its not too bad. For the price and the $75 rebate its just too good of a deal to turn down.

So I have the stock exhaust on my 2000 Jeep and thought hey this is cheap enough that it is worth a try or at least I would use the piping and not the muffler down the road. So I go to order it and it asks if the Jeep was made before or after 1/23/00. All the tag by the driver's side door states is that the Jeep was made 1/2000. Anyone know how I can find out more specifics on the build date? Oh yea it is not in the Detailed Jeep Build Sheet.

you will have to buy clamps and clamp the muffler on both ends of your pipe.

I got a guy at my local exhaust shop to put on an aftermarket one. He just got an universal exhaust that the opening was about 1/4 inch bigger than my stock exhaust and cut my muffler off and welded the other one in place. All together it cost me 90 bucks all together. The tone has definitely gotten deeper.

Just got off the phone with Dynomax. The checks are going out, but it is taking the 8 to 10 weeks due to the volume of requests. Mine is in the system from the end of July. 1-800-218-1596 is the promotion number.

I had a magnaflow cat and muffler installed on my 2000 sport and it sounds pretty good. I thought it would be a little quieter, but overall good sound.
