my 97 TJ

did some trading the other day and got this. the guy who had it is shipping of to Iraq and needed it gone. it was stored in his garage and needs to finished up so now my new project starts. heres a few shots

its a shame they started guttin it for trail. i want the flairs back not a fan of the round tail lights. back seat was removed and a 10 gallon fuel cell put in it. i want the stock tank back so i can have a back seat for my boys to ride in so if any of you local folks want to do some trading let me know. everything on it is new has a painless start panel nice ProComp gauges. a 305 with headers looks to be corvette headers or a LT1 style. has a 1 ton dodge trans and transfer its a new reman. i may be askign for alot of suggestions due to im use to my stock YJ.

im gonna try to finish it. or trade one of yall for a stock one lol

Nice find bud. And thanks for helping a fellow troop out. I needed to sell a truck before I left again but no luck for me.

Can you do me a favor though....Please remove the DOD sticker from the windshield. It is accually illgal for it to still be on the vehicle now. The PO was suppose to remove it before sale.

Again nice rig.

Be careful to install the 5pt harness correctly and don't simply mount the shoulder harnesses to the floor which can be fatal in an accident. You'll need a cross-bar welded just behind your seats roughly at shoulder level to properly position the shoulder harnesses.

thanks for the advice they were in my yj and were not done right they rode on your left shoulder while driving i didnt feel safe i wanted stock back. same with this jeep i would rather have the stock safety in it due to my kids will ride in it . we ride old creek beds and dirt roads this is way to much jeep for that. thats why i offer someone to trade me a stock one before they butcher it up . this has lots of money in it more than i would do. lift but not that high but everything else would be stock .

That thing is nicer than I thought... At least it has an SYE on it... and other than needing long arms, not a bad trade I'd say. I'd also think about an EFI system for that V8 though.

the linkage arms i guess this 4 link is new to me. i know they have grease fittings and slide back and forth . i dont know what lift is on it but would like the specs and all. it has a elec fuel pump so a throttle body shouldnt be to hard i hate a carb lol.
