Unhappy My baby's heart broke!

Right after I turned on to the highway over an hour ago a rod shot through the motor, and its scrap now. Thankful I rolled through to the side of the road, and my dad met me with straps to pull my Jeep home. A rod was released, it punctured the motor, through the oil pan. My baby's heart is broken I allllllways kept up on my oil changes, and made sure my fluid levels were good. My uncle who is a smog tech/mechanic in Orangevalle CA said the motor was never good. Someone virtually hug me!

Dude I would hug ya but don't roll that way. Was there any noise first ( spun barring)? That really sucks. My heart goes out to ya really.

I'm feeling your pain. I just learned a couple hours ago that the frame on my baby is rusted through and there may be no chance of saving her. The sad thing is that everything else on her is perfect. No engine trouble, the body is beautiful, the interior is clean. You would never know she was 13 years old, only 98,000 miles. My stomach is in knots right now. Considered yourself hugged.

Big Cole: I am definitely trying, although I spent sometime in tears LOL I am carless and my babe is broke.

Wranglerbob1: It has been making some weird clanking sounds over the last few days/week. It was happen right when the Jeep started, and continue the entire time the engine was on, and when I would accelerate it would quite a bit but speed up in the clanking. The best way I could describe it would be as if something was rotating super fast, and knocking something every time it made a full circle. As I turned out on the the highway and accelerated it sped up and popped, and there was a lot of smoke, along with a lot of oil. Everywhere.

Adktrixie: Damn, that really sucks! I cannot say that I know that pain, since my Jeep has a chance for survival, its just going to cost a lot. My Jeep had about 140k miles on it, I bought it about 2 years and a few months ago, and only put 15k on it in that time. Its in really good shape, and definitely worth fixing... Its just going to have to wait a bit.

Read your other post the other day, about the noises your Jeep was making. Sorry to hear that you threw a rod. Hope you can get your baby up and running real soon. Nice looking Jeep.
Here's a virtual hug for you ( ). Good Luck...
