Need a bushing

I need to know what the bushing is called at the back of the sway bar. There is a bolt with a ball on the end of it, that looks as if it should sit in the cup but it is separated and the bushing is chewed up. Someone help!

Are you referring to where the Sway Bar Link attaches to the Axle? Or to the sway bar?

You need a whole new link. That isn't just a bushing you can replace. Looks like a good set of quicker disconnects is in your future.

Is the ball and socket supposed to be one piece or can they separate. I've put them back together for now.

Yes, that is supposed to be one piece. They are pretty much shot when that happens. I'd bet that will pop out again on you soon.

Can it be welded to keep it in place until I can get the part and get it replaced? Is this a dealer item only?

you should be able to pick up a set of JKS quicker disconnects for about 140 I think and that would be real nice to have if wheelin any. That will be my next investment.

You can usually find someone that upgraded thier lift and the disco's that they had wont work anymore and they'll sell them pretty cheap.
