this has been going on since i got the jeep when you first start it the jeep goes to start and starts very rough shaking and acting like it wants to die than you stomp on the gas and it spudders and takes a second to accel. and it will go away after reving a couple times it also does it after being in the woods wheelin i shut the jeep off and start it back up and does the same thing somtimes even worse. i have the 4.0 and automatic. just cleaned thorottle body. and didnt help a bit. any info you guys can give me will help alot!!!!!!
the thing that looks like little mushroom? that was dirty as hell i took it all the way apart and make it look like brand new and problem still continues
Same issue with mine last couple of weeks. turned out to be the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) I guess it is a common problem. I changed it out twice with a cheapo from an aftermarket parts place only to have the problem come back only worse a week later. I would highly suggest that you get one from the dealer, I tried to save a few bucks and got burned in the end.
I see Hitler still lives, you've proven it!
Put some real plugs in it. Under the hood, driver's side, will be a sticker that tells the correct plugs. It was put there by the people that designed the engine, they should know what works the best.
And - check for a vacuum leak - all hoses and connections.
rrich i had the same problem before the plugs def. not the problem these plugs are all i run and never had a problem????
