Need help with Cowl Door

So I removed the cover to clean out the area and I pushed the door open a little too far and now the spring will not push the door/flap shut.

Anyone had the same problem? Know how to fix it?

Have you tried just gently pulling it back up?

Yes, but when I stuck my hand in originally there was a force, like a spring of some type, pushing it back towards the closed position. Whatever I did disengaged the spring, or whatever mechanism its using, and now the door just sits there. I can pull it back up part of the way but it will not stay closed.

I was thinking that as well but I don't see any way for it to have fallen through...

Oh well, I'm off to the Jeep Parts counter to see what they can tell me.
