Need help with flushmount tail lights

I got my flush mount tail lights a couple of days ago, my passenger side is fine no problems at all, my driver side is a different story. My blinker is going a 100 mph but no light is out, When I have my lights on and hit the brakes my driver side does not work. I have checked the ground, checked all the wires and got a new light has anyone ever had this problem before? or know how I can fix it?

I would connect the light directly to the battery just to make sure it works. To me it seems like the light is dead and does not activate. Does it turn on when you turn on your lights? It could be also wired wrong as LED lights will only work if you have the + with the + and the - with the -. If you flip those over it will not light up.

Isn't this just a problem with the LED lights? From what I've been reading when you do the LEDs you have to solder something into your blinker relay or something, to fix this rapid blinking. Which is why I just plan to use normal round trailer lights instead of LEDs. Correct me if I'm wrong.

yes but these arent led's, everything works great when lights are on, just when I hit the brakes with lights on the driverside brake lights goes out. When I dont have the lights on and I hit the brakes no problems

Oh, OK, now I'm stumped. Electrics aren't my strong point.

i see, i'd take the passenger light out and put it in there to make sure. I have the feeling you mixed up the ground with the headlights 12 volt. So when you press on the brakes you get 12 volt connecting to 12 volts = 0v

3 wires

1 ground
1 headlights wire - when you turn on ur headlights its the dim light in there
1 high lights wire - when you press on the brakes or turn on the blinker or whatever.

when I first got the new flush mount and replaced the old flush mount and replaced the wires everything was perfect until today it started being retarded again. could it be the factory wiring going bad?

The only tail light problem i've seen some 1 on this forum having ended up being a rusted socket for the light bulb. Feel free to search around.

I had a problem with no blinker/brake light. Replaced the blub as someone on here suggested and it worked for probably one blink. Long enough to make me happy about finding the problem when I checked it after I finished. Turns out it musta been a bad bulb that blew out on the first few blinks because I replaced it and it has been good since.

With LED lights I heard you have to change out the flasher relay with a different one to rememdy the problem...not sure which one though.

You dont need to change it, you need to cut the dead light blinker part of the circuit but he doesnt have LEDs so for him its worthless.

BTW muddaddy u got any pics, i saw those lights at my autozone last night for 6 bucks a pop and i'm thinking how they look.

I did the same exact thing yesterday. How hard would the wiring be?

the hard part about it is you need to find a way to put a light for the license plate and also you'll need to figure out backup lights and of course cut holes in the body. As for the wiring, there are 3 wires that go to the red tail lights.

you wired 2 wires backwards. Get a simple test light or a multimeter and test the circuit. If I remember correctly there are 2 like wires and 1 opposite for each side. The opposite colored wires work the turn signals.
