Hello again-for all you clutch guru's out there I need some input-Its time for me to put a new clutch in the TJ and Im finding clutched from $99 all the way up to $400 dollars. Is there a good clutch to go with for moderate wheelin?If anyone has input on what they have run(and liked)or run and not liked I would like to hear about it.Also- I havent decided If I will try to tackle this job on my own..I have done alot of reading and It looks intense.Any input on that would be appreciated,or If you have paid to have it done,Id like to know what the going rate is so I know if I am gettin ripped off.

you really dont need anything better than the stage 1 centerforce clutch kit, and its not $400, but it only comes wiht the pressure plate and disc, not the bearings and things whcih cost around another $50
With the amount of abuse I've seen the stock clutch take I would strongly suggest replacing it with a stocker unit. There is no specific need for an upgrade. Especially as much as we like to slip them for wheelin purposes!
No, avoid the stealership if you can. What they mean is, the clutch DC put in these Jeeps is about as good as it gets, and they are going to use that clutch again when its time to replace it. That does not mean to go to the dealership and buy one. There is a link above, of an OEM clutch for 120 bucks
OEM means Original Equipment Manufacterer. The link above(Oem), is for same clutch DC uses. "Oem quality" or "like oem" means aftermarket. You want the actual OEM clutch. Either use the link above, or spend more at the dealership
