So soon enough I will be doing a bit more of a lift to my jeep, and I was just curious on what you guys thought of what were the best quick disconnects for the money. Not looking to spend a fortune. Doing a 2" suspension lift to add onto the previous owners 2" body lift. Thanks
Can't argue with the JKS recommendations, works good and lasts a long time. I understand that you want to keep the cost down, but if you can afford it I strongly recommend the Currie Anti-Rock sway bar. Never have to disconnect at all, and the on-road manners are much better than the company's disclaimer, at least if your shocks and springs are in decent shape. Off road it is way better than being disco'd.
For less than $15, you could go to ace hardware, buy a couple of 3/8 bolts, 4 nuts, a few washers, and a couple of hitch pins. Cut the heads off the bolts, taper the end a little, and drill a hitch pin hole, and you'll have disconnects.
there ya go, carry 2 wrenches and zip ties with you and it's almost free, if cost is a big factor. Pull 1 bolt and zip tie it out of the way. Prob less than a minute to do it.
Hope I'm not violating any forum rules, but here is a great youtube video about quick disconnect for less than $15 bucks for the do-it-yourselfers. I've put 200 miles, so far, after the mod on the road and 2 full days of hard off roading. Highly recommended it! So far so good. Very easy mod and works like a charm.

Go get two 2.5" x 7/16 clevice pins. Grab about ten 7/16 washers and pilfer the 3/8 washer bin to find a couple that fit over the pin tightly against the shoulder. Then grab some hitch pins. Put the 3/8 washer against the shoulder with a 7/16 in front of it. Use the remaining washers for spacers to ger your hitch pin to the nearest hole. Less than $15. Its pointless to do anymore unless you do an Antirock
Before I installed my AntiRock I did the DIY thing, but I didn't care for the amount of wear I found on the Home Depot clevis pins I was using - the metal was fairly soft. I made a new set of pins with class 8.8 (grade 5-ish) 12mm x 120mm bolts. I cut off the threads, drilled holes for locking pins, and threw on a few washers to shim it all up. Lasted over a year with no noticeable wear and cost about ten bucks.
