need some help with maintanence

I have an 02 4.0 with the 5 speed. I just bought it and like to go through everything with a used vehicle. I have changed the oil and flushed the radiator. I am going to pick up some mobile1 75w90 gear lube to change both with tomorrow but was also wanting to change the manual tranny fluid and the transfer case. From my understanding I need atf4 for the transfer case and mopar manual tranny fluid to do the transmission with. Is there anything better to use than the mopar fluid? I dont know which transmission I have and dont know how to tell but do they even require changing? How many quarts do the manuals and the transfer cases hold?

I just used any type of gear oil. I think the manual specifies what weight to use, but then again mine just leaks right back out.

The manual says to use the mopar transmission fluid only.

I will stop by autozone and see.

The most important thing to remember when changing lubricants is to use a product that at least meets the manufacturers minimum specification. Usually the back of your owners manual will state what to use (usually their house brand ie: MOPAR, MOTORCRAFT ect, ) or a specification number.
Allways take the time to read the back of the lubricant bottle which will state what spec number the product meets.
99 % of the time a synthetic product will allways be a far superior lubricant.
