New Fuel Injector (what and where to buy)

hey guy's I have a leaking fuel injector in my 2000 tj and I am not a do it part way kind of guy so I am going to replace the whole set. I hate to buy anything over the counter from Advance or autozone. So where is the best place to buy. I have not priced oem from the local dealer yet I'll do that tomorrow, just wondering what you have used and had good or bad experiences with. Thanks in advance for any info.

I found a company on the web called five-o-motorsports that has an upgraded 4 hole nozzle injector set pt# XF2E-CB. Has anyone used them or that set of injectors specifically.

Before you say no to the retailers, first find out who builds them for OEM and from there you may discover what Autozone types offer is exactly the same lots cheaper..It happens, and when you are buying 6, the savings add up quick.

Last time I priced a decent quality injector it was for my buds 89 cherokee and they wanted 50 bucks each for them....prolly newer ones are lots different..I can't say.

Well my #4 injector finally died so I ordered the fiveo motorsports injectors today. I'll update when I get them in.

I had to replace my #4 injector at least a year ago also. I wanted to just change them all, but I needed my Jeep for work and could only find 1 in all the parts stores around here. I can't remember the brand, but it was whatever Advance or AutoZone had. (Probably Bosch) So far so good. Make sure to get a bunch of O-Rings for the injectors. The ones I got were Fel-Pro from one of those stores and really cheap. The O-Rings that go on the part of the injector that plugs into the engine will more than likely need replaced. Hell, I had a couple missing/deteriorated on injectors that worked fine. Any install questions let me know, the fuel rail can be a PITA. Mine is an 01 4.0 5spd.

The injectors I ordered come in a kit with all new o-rings. They are the bosch 4 hole injectors that are supposed to be a significant upgrade since the factory injectors are a very inefficient 1 hole design. I'll update when I get them installed hopefully later this week.

Minor update, I got them in record time and installed them yesterday. Fired it up and noticed right away that it seems to idle much smoother. To take advantage of the new injectors I did an ecm default reset to erase the adaptive memory so my ecm could relearn with the new injectors. I will post a better update when I have some miles on it.

Ok so here's the update, after the reset I ran a full tank of gas through it for it to relearn. Since then I have ran 3 more tanks through it and here is what I found. I have gotten between 1.5-2 mpg increase on all 3 tanks. The torque down low it better, I can hold hwy speed much easier. The Idle is smoother and the throttle response is better. I originally thought my old injector's were leaking but this turned out to not be the case, my old injector had a bad coil. I don't think the bad coil was affecting the performance any because it only did it for about 5-10 seconds evrey now and then. So I think the results I got from the injector upgrade would be typical and not just because my old units were bad. I am very happy with this upgrade and would do it again.
