So I bought my new Jeep, and am very happy about it. However, the previous owner used his for trails and that was it. While I am not using it as a daily driver, I'll probably have it on the road more than he did. Anyways, here's what we're working with:
2000 Jeep Wrangler
4.0 5 spd
35in 12.50 Maxxis Buckshot Mudders
Transfercase has had speedo gear changed to compensate for gears and tire size.
4 in Suspension lift 2 in body lift
From sway bar with quick disconnects
Tom Woods drive shafts front and rear
Dana 30 Superior Chromoly axles
Superior Super 35 kit for Dana 35
Rear disk brake conversion kit
My question to you is what would I need to do to make this a little more road friendly? I love having the lockers, but I think something like an ARB locker would more suit my style. Would I need to replace both the front AND rear lockers with ARB to get where I want to be on road driving, or just one or the other? Would I need specific ARB lockers to work with the 4.88 gears? Thanks.
