New Lift Wobble Question

I recently had a 3-1/2" Rough Country installed on my 2000 TJ with 32" new tires and 15" wheels that were balanced and also had an alignment done.

Problem is around 50-55 mph, I'm getting some noticeable wobble until i get up to 60.

Any ideas of what the problem might be?

Thanks

Doug

If the wobble is just at certain speeds and will go away as you increase speed, it's most likely a tire that's out of balance. The bigger the tires, the more critical accurate balancing becomes. If a shop did the lift and alignment/balance, take it back to them.

Well wobbles are usually more associated with the steering. Do you feel these vibes/wobbles in the steeringing wheel mainly or through the body of the vehicle.

Exactly what kit did you get?

If wobble I would check your front steering components. Do you have a drop pitman arm? Check the Tie Rod Ends? Did you have alignment done? Any steering Upgrades? Stock control arms?

If it is more of a vibe I would say that it is a drive line issue. SYE/CV-Driveshaft or T-Case Drop or what? Did you adjust your pinion angle? Tires Properly Balanced?

Need to give a little more info about your setup so we can effectivly help you.

Any radial run-out on the wheels you purchased? I once bent two wheels on the trail, and I could not figure out why my (new) tires did not balance. Wobbles occurred at ~50 mph.

Also, did the people who aligned your front end actually reTIGHTEN all of the hardware? Are your swaybar links good and snug? Are your tires inflated at the same psi?
