New Shocks?

Hey guys, newbie here. When i bought my 99 wrangler it came with a case of DW at hwy speeds only on certain terrain. With all the posts, I started with removing the blown stabilizer and replacing stock shocks with Rancho 5000's. Without the stabilizer...gone,took care of it, then put it back, really noticed no difference. All that to say, now I'm thinking about a 2"BB and maybe 32's at most, will i need to replace those shocks? No real off-roading foreseen, it's actually my for my daughter in about 6 months and will her DD. And, I've only seen two other jeeps, and no wave!

those stabalizers mostly just hide the problem, not correct it. check everything underneath, make sure everything is nice and tight. usually DW is a suspension component with a little play.

those shocks shouldn't be a problem with only 2". all jeeps are different, but if they turn out to be a little short you can get some shock extensions. no big deal. since your just lifting for looks those shocks with extensions will be ok. odds are though with only 2" you wouldnt need them.

BB pucks are BB pucks they are all the same bud. Not one spacer will ride better than the other. So...any 2'' bb pucks will work!

First check your local craigslist and the forsale section of the forum. They pop up ALL the time. Save you alittle money.

yeah..something like this. Teraflex 1244800 - TeraFlex Rear Upper Shock Adapter & Relocator Kit for 97-06 Jeep® Wrangler TJ & Unlimited - Quadratec some people call them relocation brackets. don't get them confused with bumpstops. 2 different things. either way. it saves money on buying longer shocks. since you won't be off-road, they'd be good for your application if needed. i would reccomend lifting first and seeing how your shocks look first though. like i said, 90% chance they won't be needed.

if you don't want to spend money and you shocks dont fit, another thing you can do is cut the old brackets off, relocate them, and weld them back on lol!

i think you'll be alright though with what you already have.
