New to me wrangler need help!

hey guys i recently purchased an 01 TJ and i think i am ready to start adding some extras. My problem is that i am not sure what lift is on there and where i might need to go with it. After looking at the suspension it looks like the previous owner added longer shocks(they are silver with no markings on the) and maybe a coil spacer, it looks like it still has stock coils on it. Right now I have 32x11.50's on 15x8 wheels and i am not sure of the backspacing. It has about 80,000 miles on it so i am thinking about going with the Old Man Emu 2.5in lift kit. Will i gain anymore height with this lift than i have with the current setup? If I go with the 2.5in lift now can i add a 1in body lift later to clear 33x12.50's? Maybe if someone is running that Old Man Emu lift they could give me a measurement to the fender flair at least as a comparison as to where i am sitting now. Thanks in advance, i look forward to sharing info with all of you in the future.

If the shocks are silver and no markings probably a Rubicon Express shock. It should have a serial number or some type of identification number on the tube somewhere.

yeah looking at the rubicon express 2in budget kit i am pretty sure thats what it is. So will it be worth it to spend the extra money for the OME 2.5in kit or should i just wait until i am ready to replace tires and go with a 4in kit that will clear 33's. I would not even know where to start looking at 4in kits, i have only had experience with the OME kit.

thanks,
jw

ummm my advice? being that this stuff can get expensive, wait for your tires to wear out, then you can replace them with bigger ones The RE 2" budget kit you have runs a little tall generally. I've heard good things about OME, but have no personnel experience with them. Theres lots of threads on here about different lifts and the advantages/disadvantages.

my buddy who is a jeep nut is telling me to think about going with the 2.5in OME lift and a 1in body lift to get the 33x12.50's under it. I think it might be a really good daily driver setup.

thanks,
