New water pump cracked radiator top plastic piece

Just changed the water pump on my 06 X last night. Today the top plastic piece on the radiator cracked. Any temporary fix until I can replace the entire unit?

You might get away with fastening the radiator cap to only the first detent; that way the system won't develop significant pressure.

Thanks for the tip. I was able to find a shop that had one in stock and could install it immediately. My wife called me 45 minutes later saying she was back on the road.
