Newb!!! Suggestions for budget suspension kits and wheel and tire packages?!

Im extremely new to the jeep world and loving it all! Im looking to do some casual weekend off-roading and off course have my jeep look badass. I have no idea what size of wheels and tires I should get with what kind of lift kit... body lift, suspension lift? I dont want to spend too much but mainly I want to know dimensions for wheels and tires and all the parsts needed to lift my car up 2 or 3in and give it a wider stance. Thanks so much for any suggestions!

I have a 2003 Jeep TJ 4.0L bone stock. Also, Im from Edmonton, Canada and if anyone could suggest to me a good tire for the winter but also for off roading...

AAhhh you said car. Anyways how much money is in your budget that will make a big difference on what people are going to tell you to buy. But most general stuff is if you have a dana 35 and you are on a budget you are going to have to go smaller than 35's.

here is my 2" skyjacker bb, came with shocks all you need to put it on. very simple kit,, here it is with 33 12.5 on a 10" wheel, i liked it but i had minor rubing on a big flex,

here it is with a 31 10.50 on an 8"steely much better for me.

Steve, I'd stay away from a 3" body lift. Spend a little more and go with a 2" budget boost and a 1" body, and a motor mount lift would be a good idea too.

I was originally just doing it for show , cuz I don't do any major wheeling just trail stuff and some mudding , it was originally my cousins idea, but after reading all this I think I might stay away from it haha, I don't need any complications haha

So I'm looking at a price range of $1500 plus a tire package. But if i can run something cheaper than that ill definitely look into it. Now what do you mean I have to run something smaller than 35? What do all those dimensions mean when your talking about wheels and where does rim diameter come into play? When I buy a lift kit online let's say, does it come with all the necessary stuff I'll need? Thanks again!

I'm gonna be putting the skyjacker kit with hydro shocks on mine...

Skyjacker Standard 2" Spacer Lift Kit with Hydro Shocks for 97-06 Jeep® Wrangler TJ & Unlimited - Quadratec

Then for a wheel/tire package im goin with a set of mickey thompson signature series wheels

And as for tires i'm gonna go with BFG AT's (31")

Total for wheels, tires, and lift will be about $1200

I doubt i'll be able to get everything as a bulk, so probably get the rims cause i've got a deal i can get on them, then the lift, then the tires. Doubt the rims will fit my current tires so i'll just hold on to them for awhile.

I should also mention that price is for 5 rims and 5 tires...so if you're just doin 4, then it'd be even cheaper

That's alot cheaper than I expected... What specifically would be the dimensions for the wheel and tires I would be looking at? What's a good website to determine that cause I wasn't a fan of tirerack
