no heat

installed new heater core ..less heat than the old one! What gives??

Welcome to the forum! Not a lot of information, so will make some suggestions. Did you leave the radiator cap off, and run the engine to purge the air from the system? Is your thermostat good or stuck open? Does the tempature control knob/slider work properly?
