No start

Need help on this one???
01 TJ no start periodically. Tests are all good batt, starter, alternator.

Won't start every few days goes to fire as normal, try again results in just clicking no start condition

Jump start failed maybe faulty help?
Jump start worked on second attempt. This usually gets it going until next no start.

This seems to repeat on cold days also simultaneously when I replaced my rear break lights both went out within the last month. Also gave someone a jump before all this about a month ago

Any advice daily driver colorado trailer

Have you tested your battery and alternator to be sure they are both good? How do your cables look?

Possibly a parasitic draw from a short. First thing that came to mind having a dead battery every few days.

Here is a video how to check for it.

Do quick eyeball test on all fuse panels, look for discoloration or loose fuses. Then look at wiring coming through firewall, possible chafe with intermittent contact, good luck. I would personally rather have something not work completely then intermittently! Keep us informed!

Also sounds lime a possible surge somewhere, since you said both brake lights went too. Any aftermarket electronics or winch? How bout 3rd brake light? Any other bulbs on the fritz?

Posts on battery are clean look better than cables, I was thinking that next cleaning everything real good. It's been starting right up today it's been cold so tonight is a good time to try to simulate what's happening.

Going to clean it up and see how it goes too.
BATT and ALT tested good: but end of cable wiring looks corroded?
Not sure if I screwed something up changing the bulbs on the two rear lights both sides....That fixed the no directional issue.

Didn't have any electrical draws. But I'm curious about my winch i dont use it unless emergency. every thing works fine.
Other electronics some after market 10 year old now CD player, and the multiple purpose switch is broke fogs light dont work so they are disconnected. Recently gave someone a jump??

Not sure what that could lead too? Thanks for the reply and I'll keep it updated I had a similar issue two years ago but it was more common turned out to be stupid loose battery cable replaced batt no problem until this???

Cleaned everything up nice. no issues since 2 days cold. The next few days will be a good test going to drive it to the mountains then, let it sit, and take a 15 mile trip the next day.

Mine was doing this just this week and last. My guy at goodyear took it for two days and now it starts right up every time. It was the crank position sensor. 130 bucks to fix and no problems now. just something to consider. some days it would start. other days it would just crank to no end.
