Noise from oil pan, ticking? normal?

There is a ticking coming from my engine when I go under the oil pan. Its easily heard when directly under it, but harder to hear when just standing by it. It's the sound of stuff moving in there for sure, just wondering if this is normal or something I should look into. Thanks in advance.

if its easily heard down by the oil pan maybe its a rod bearing is it like a knocking or ticking if its knocking or sounds like a tractor or diesel i bet its a rod bearing if ticking thechink09 is probably right with a lifter

when ever i turn the jeep off, it seems like stumbles as it dies. I haven't notice this until about 2 weeks ago, it kind of sputters down and dies. Also don't know if this is normal. But the tick could be from my donut if it were leaking as I've had numerous probems with the damn bolt slipping off the donut and allowing it to leak.

Exclamation I am having same issue

I have begun having the same issue, a knocking noise that is louder by oil pan then top of engine. Is this a bad Rod? Bad Lifter, Would I have to replace all rods, if so should I and how much should it run. If its a lifter how much should it run? And if its a bad rod should I just replace engine?
