Noise when gas pressed

I'm a new Jeep owner with a Wrangler 2002 manual trans. When I let off the clutch there is a (for lack of better words) click noise when the gas is pressed. Almost like a ujoint going out but I don't think that is the culprit. The previous owner had a 2" lift on it and someone told me that it was the drive shaft making it do this. I have been under and there is no movement of the drive shaft when I try to turn or move it by hand.
Thanks!

Mine was the Ujoint back of end of drive shaft. Now I have a grease fitting on the new one and had tom woods shaft balanced that and the currie drag link and tie rod my jeep is great at 75
