NTK O2 PN Info...

Hey folks!

I am under a time deadline and cannot spend today searching for my correct PNs and all that. Normally I am a big boy on the Internet and can Google and research and read up all on my own.

But not today.

Here is what I need a hand with.

I have the 4.0L with FOUR O2 sensors. It is a 2003 Sport. The replacements I paid an arm and a leg to have the dealership install for me are all four probably Bosch. They are unmarked, but the parts guy was pretty sure that with DC involved that the current supplier of the supposed OE parts would not be NTK at all these days. They would almost certainly be supplied to Jeep by Bosch.

I need these OUT of my jeep. They are the only thing left that could be continuing to throw P0171 and P0174 lean condition codes.

I am sure it is the sensors that are pissing off my computer and that there is actually no lean condition extant.

So, do I have to replace all four *again* or both upstream ones, or just one of the upstream ones?

And by upstream, you guys mean the ones physically located higher up on the block, correct? Stupid question, but I need to know to prevent some further stupidity that actually costs me time and money. (The dumb question is free!)

Further, I want to order these tonight! I assume that rockauto.com is the place to get them. But which part numbers do I order?

And there is some sort of WF discount code, too. Correct?

I have pulled and cleaned everything. I have replaced the entire CAI intake that came on this heep with an OE box and tubes. I have checked everything recommended to me here on WF. The last bit is the suspect O2 sensors. So that has to be the source of the codes.

Any help/hand holding/training wheel-type of assistance would be greatly appreciated since I am about to go offline for the next 12 hours or so.

Wade

Here are the four sensors directly from rockauto. Not a WF discount code but here is a 5% code that I have

1574541712895315

Using Your Discount Code

Enter the code above in the "How did you hear about us" line of the shopping cart. If you are using our traditional HTML catalog, please click the "Apply" button to the right of the field. Your discount will automatically appear, subtracted from your parts order total. Orders using discount codes must be placed online. Phone orders are not eligible for discounts.

NTK Part # 23141 NTK OE Type
Downstream Rear; 4; NTK is the OE Mfg

NTK Part # 23139 NTK OE Type
Upstream Front; 1; 4; NTK is the OE Mfg

NTK Part # 23142 NTK OE Type
Downstream Front; 3; 4; NTK is the OE Mfg

NTK Part # 23138 NTK OE Type
Upstream Rear; 2; 4; NTK is the OE Mfg

Personally I would replace them all if you believe the current ones to be Bosch, but that is your decision to make.

Thanks a LOT, man! Kudos!

I will do the two upstream ones first and the two downstream ones after my next payday. I *think* the upstream ones have more of a tendency to throw air codes than the downstream ones, which seem to be "confirmation" sensors. But since I am not any sort of expert on engine sensors and I hate "upgrades" that do not work as well as the OEM bits (like most spark plugs on the 4.0L) I tend to want to yank all four out.

Thanks for your discount code. I will have to use it twice. Is that okay? Is it limited to a certain number of uses? If so I can wait and do all four at once.

Thanks again!

No problem, and use away. There is no number of times it can be used. I actually have a thread here with the codes as well. I try to keep it updated as I get the new discount codes. And I agree with your theory between the up and downstream sensors. If you are limited on funds (as most of us are) then yeah just go for the two up streams first.

Bump for update...

Hey, Big Sarge...

I just ordered them. I decided to wait until I had the cash to do them all at once. I paid $135 (shipped) for all four. Very nice!

Thanks again for the help, sir!
