Odometer Reading

Hey guys. I remember reading that because I have the 33 inch tires, my odometer would be off and that I would be going farther than it said. I went on mapquest and typed in my destination. It was 167.4 miles away and my odometer read 169.2 when I arrived. It was probably off by a couple miles becuase I went to the gas station before I headed out. I thought it was supposed to be off 10-15%. Due to changing my speedo gear to the right size, did something correct itself?

when you put the new speedo gear in it corrects the odometer also...before you put it in both the speedo and the odometer were off but now that you put the correct one in they are both correct...so the new speedo corrects the odometer also
