Oil Changes

Hi guys! this might sound like a stupid thing to ask, but i need to know. how much oil does my 2002 wrangler x take. i grew up changing the oil in mowers and quads and three wheelers, but never a car. if anyone knows how many quarts it takes, and what kind, it would be a big help. thanks

6 if it's a 6, 4 if it's a 4. That's in US quarts and includes the normal size oil filter. There are larger filters available.

ummm..., I would add 4 then check the level. Add more to fill line if need be. When you get it full. I hope you have a new filter?...Start it for 15 seconds, turn off. Let it sit a minute and check it again.
