Oil fill cap

I'm stuck.. Changed the oil in October and have not touched the oil fill cap since . But yesterday when I went to add some i could not get the cap to turn loose.. Clicks going clockwise but wont budge counter..?.. It's an original cap to motor ( 6 cylinder ) any ideas how to get it off ?..

I believe I recall seeing a thread on this a while back and if your engine is currently hot, just let it cool off and it should come off with ease. Seems others experience this when the engine is hot.

Had the same problem when it is hot. Seems to from some kida suction or expansion. I took a pair of channel locks and broke it off. Had to get another cap.

If that doesn't work I would suggest using a rubber mallet and tapping the filler cap from the side to see if that might give it a budge.
