oil filter?

Is there a large oil filter available for the 4.0?? That thing is tiny. Looks like it would hold 8 oz max.

Yes there is but I'm not sure of the part number for it... I don't understand why you guys feel it's necessary to install larger filters. If you change your oil every 3,000 miles...the original size filter should be plenty adequate...plus our engines already hold more than enough oil (6 quarts). The filter isn't supposed to be used as a storage device...it's supposed to filter the oil. Of course, this is just my opinion and I don't claim that my opinion is THE opinion.

The K & N oil filter may be bigger. I just put one on a couple of weeks ago. You should check it out.

There you go getting off topic. I didnt ask if you understand or for your opinion, I ask about a fraking oil filter. Seems like every time I ask for help it immediately starts off topic. Do you guys do this to up your post count?

Well, he did in fact answer your question... But after answering he explained his opinion on the matter which was it's not needed to put a larger filter on. There is no need to be rude, he was trying to help with his input on the topic.

They are about the same size as a 4.2 right? And the 4.2 filter fits all the 304-401's...should be plenty big I'd say

I run baldwin filters so not sure on any one else's number. A B2 is the large one for a 4.0. Same filter that an old ford V8 used.
