OME shocks

Im looking for honest opinions on OME shocks. I have RE shocks now and they are horrible. Im looking to upgrade the shocks and would like to go with OME's. Are they worth the $? Do they ride better? Im not looking for a Caddy ride, but Im sick of having a gut buster. Let me know what you got.

The OME shocks I had with my SA arm lift were the best shocks I've ever had. They're worth every penny.

Should I also get the steering stabilizer since my p.o.s. skycrapper one is pretty much shot?

I'd run down to the local parts store and grab a Monroe. Or if you just want to make it easy then buy the OME. I have some generic steering stabilizer and it has worked just fine for me.

i found my omes on ebay. the best 44 bucks i have spent on my jeep.

I'm sure the deadline ending at 4am helped a ton also.

Compared to my RC and stockers, my omes ride better than both.

I have no regrets but then again the shocks on mine when I bought it were junk so I really have nothing to compare them to either. But I can not see any other shock in the same price rage riding any better.

I love the OME's and have run or riddin in ..stock/re/rancho/skyjacker/bilistien.

The OME's and Bilistiens 5150's have been the best ride and performance for street and the trail.

I currently run the OME LT shocks and wouldn't change them for anything but coilovers.

I have Scout's OME LT shocks and I love the ride, both on and off road. Absolutely one of the best upgrades I've done to my Jeep!!

are all shocks the same... do you need larger or smaller shocks depending on the lift?

NO, they are not the same.

Longer shocks used for a larger lift.

Shorter shocks used if lowering.

Order OME's.

They have different lengths shocks for different lifts. 0'' to 2.5'' and 2.5'' to 5'' lift.

I run the latter Long travel ones.

If you need a link, let me know.

OEM or original equipment man. Is stock shocks only. They work with a stock suspension jeep.

OEM...does not make shocks for lifted jeeps.

It was just a joke.

Give Dirk a call at dpgoffroad. He can set you straight with the right OME shock for your lift height and whether you want LT's or standard OME shocks.
