OME Steering Stabilizer question

Found a slightly used OME SS (3 months, no offroad after install/before Jeep was sold, off of a Rubi with 33" tires) on CL for $50 asking price. Guys got a few other items I might buy, so probably get this cheaper in the package.

My LJ drives great. It's stock, ~68,000 miles, can run it 70+ on the highway comfortably with no vibrations. Not planning to lift it to any great degree.

Is it worth it to change the steering stabilizer just to do it? Is the OME that much better than stock? Does the stock one wear out after so many miles?

Thanks!

If your stock one is fine, why upgrade or waste the $50. Beside who knows if the previous Jeep had any steering issues or DW issues.

I wouldn't bother. You may notice a difference (I have the same one), but if you're happy with how it handles now, there isn't really a point.

$50 for a used SS is no bargain. Aftermarket SS's are all pretty much the same thing... a hydraulic shock absorber that is valved 50:50, nothing more exotic than that. You can pick up a brand-new SS from Monroe, Skyjacker, Rancho, etc. for close to or under that price.

Yeah, that's kinda what I thought. But I've learned I'm better off to ask than to make a mistake. Thanks guys!!
