opinions on exhaust

I'm looking to put on a catback system on my '00 2.5L TJ and the system comes with the options of a cherry bomb, flowmaster 40 and flowmaster 50 for the muffler.

With the 2.5L I'd prolly go with the Flowmaster 50...it'll be the quietest of the 3 choices and chances are you won't be very satisfied with a loud high-flowing muffler on a lil 4 banger.

A loud muffler on a 4 banger will make it sound like a Singer sewing machine on steroids. AKA a rice burner.

I'm gonna be putting a muffler on my 2.5 in the very near future as well...not doin a catback system or anything cause i dont want that shitty sound.

I'll be throwin the biggest magnaflow muffler i can fit under there. I think the one is a 5x8x18 that i'll be goin with (always been a magnaflow fan).

Big mufflers geat beat on more offroad. It's best if you can tuck as much of the muffler possible underneath the skid plate. Just my HO.

Yeah my plan is to make somethin to protect it...the magnaflow muffler i'm gonna get is almost identical to the one taht is currently under there though which is a plus.

Just cut the pipe and run a glasspack-it's gonna sound HORRIBLE no matter what you do!

I dunno! I think the magnaflow will sound good (as good as it can on a 2.5 that is)...barely louder than what it is stock!

I'll post a clip as soon as i get it done...
