output shaft still leaking--help please...

4.0L 32 RH 3 speed auto.

Replaced the output shaft seal yet it still leaks. Thought it was the shifter seal but after a thorough cleaning it was again the weep hole.

Good news is I have the console off and now have nice access to the top 2 nuts on top, the hard ones.

Frustrated but must stop the leak.

When I installed the first seal it was aboout 1/16, slightly countersunk.

Question: should I replace w the Teraflex extension or the NAPA seal.

Dont cant do it a third time.

OK so you've changed the seal that requires removal of the t case? Did you also change the input shaft seal for the t case? Could be fluid leaking from the case.

Yeah, when I pulled the transfer case, I replaced both the tranny and tc seal.

Only leaks when driving.
