Overheating question.

Jeep runs hot 220 degree. Only on acceleration or highway. I can bring temp down with the heater on. Does this sound like a restrictied radiator?

I had the exact same issue. I tried changing the thermostat and the radiator cap and neither worked. It turned out it was a clogged radiator. I would still say try the cheap fixes first, then if those don't work it might be a clogged radiator. I'm sure somebody else will chime in and give you some other ideas of what the problem could be.

Changed out tstats, flushed cooling system. even added taurus electric fans. Fans helped a little. Maybe becuase im running high speed.lol. Well thanks. Whats a good price on a radiator? Also, since my heater works great, almost burning me does it mean my waterpump is good. Should i consider not broke dont fix it. Should i replace waterpump by mileage? Thanks.

It will go higher then 220, one time check gauge light came when driving to death valley.Have to keep the heater on the whole time. Flushed sysem not too long ago. If its rust in the radiator will iron cleaner to any good or do i need a radiator. has 130k miles on it. looks original. waterpump looks original too. Should i just do it for maintainence? Thanks
