My '98 Wrangler 4.0 is showing a P0463 code, fuel level sending unit. Everything is running fine, including the gas gauge. Any ideas?

Not sure if it's related, but I'm also showing P0138, o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2. I am planning to replace the downstream sensor to correct that.

How low is the oil pressure at idle rpms? 10 psi per 1000 engine rpms is a good rule of thumb for acceptable oil pressure.

Do reseat the electrical connector for the fuel pump/fuel gauge sender to see if that fixes the CEL. You'll find it on the front drivers's side corner of the gas tank assembly. The fuel gauge sender is nit designed to be replaceable by itself, it is tack-welded to the fuel pump assembly case.

Well, here's an update... I replaced the oil pressure sending unit. (And it was reading 0-2 psi at idle. The Check Gauges light would also occasionally come on.) I did not yet replace the downstream O2 sensor (P0138) or do anything to the fuel level issue (P0463). The CEL light is now off. Weird, but I'll take it. Not sure how long that will last. I took a peek at the O2 sensor...it looks really cruddy. I'm just going to replace that too to be safe. Emissions test soon.

I have my new sensor ready to install. I have been soaking the old one for several days with Liquid Wrench. Today, I clipped the wires to get a 22 mm box wrench on the sensor. I let the Jeep run for a bit to get it piping hot. UGH. Wouldn't budge. And now I round the corners a bit. I can't get very good angle on the darn thing thanks to the skid plate.

Any advice on what to do now?

When I did the sensors on my WK I used a pencil sized flame on a propane torch to heat the sensor/pipe and had no issues getting them out. Maybe putting the flame on the cold tail pipe and sensor was better than warming the whole tail pipe. Use caution with the flame, I did mine with the pipe removed from the Jeep.
