Hello fellow JEEPERS. Been a while since I have posted. My frenders on my TJ are dented, etc. I bought primed replacements and will paint them myself. Just wondering if anyone knows how much paint I will need, a Quart, Gallon? There is a website that offers the factor paint in spray cans too.

Anyway, would appreciate anyone who had done this before let me know what amount to buy, thanks!

Generally, you won't get the quality paint job from spray can. Much better to paint with a regular spray gun and paint them in a spray booth. Depending on the quality paint job you want, You might ask a local body shop what they'd charge you to spray them for you.

I know this is an old post but I wanted to update. I painted them with 3 spray cans from Touch Up Paint and Accessories | AutomotiveTouchup
Along with clear coat in a spray can. They came our great! I also used them for a replacement hood on my minivan and a new fender and plastic front end on my Grand Am. The match up is perfect on each car.

I am only getting around to this because I am unemployed at the moment and want to get the fleet up to spec again.

Thanks for the input and help!

Ok here are the images. First are the old banged up fenders. I bought the replacements off eBay some time ago. Now they are painted and installed with the new fender flares.

I have some minor rust spots all over so I am cleaning them up and blending the paint after the fix. Next will be cleaning up the aluminum rims, some driving lights and hooks, maybe a sound bar, 2 Din radio conversion and new carpeting.

Thanks much!!! Half the fun of owning a JEEP is fixing it up and adding new stuff! Other half is driving it and hearing nice compliments!

I bought her new in 1999. This is by far the best most dependable car I have ever owned. 172K, on the same clutch! :)
