Unhappy Parking Lights problem

My parking lights goes off when pass the switch to the headlights. Headlights working ok. No tail lights, no interior and no parking only when switch to headlights.

Have any idea what te problem will be.

I'm betting there is a missing or weak ground, probably in the headlight circuit... perhaps where one of the headlight sockets grounds to the tub. When that happens, the circuit with the missing or weak ground "scavenges" its required ground from weaker circuits (tail lights/running lights) which then dim out. It could also really be a missing ground from nearly anywhere in the lighting circuit though.

Might be a bad light switch too.

THANKS

I take out the swith, open it and carefully clean contacts that are dirty.

Thumbs up

Glad you got it fixed, if it happens again squirt a little bit of contact cleaner inside the switch. You can get it at Radio Shack.

Regards,
Richard
