pitman arm nut

Anyone have the specs on the nut for the pitman arm? Stripped the old one that goes on the shaft and the boy's TJ is stranded.

Was it just the nut that striped and the treads on the shaft are still good? Crossing my fingers that's the case! I don't know the part number or exact size, but a quick call to the local dealership and they should be able to help you with that pretty easily.

thanks! We got a nut from an older Ford and it fit! He used a hacksaw blade to "regroove" the end of the shaft and it works. Until the next goof.....

Oh.. miss read that. Good thing. Once I lost the castle nut that connects my trackbar to the frame. Try that on the highway!! Apparently they PO didn't put in a cotter pin and it vibrated loose and popped off. I heard a loud "Tink!" as the trackbar fell and hit the tie rod then instant death wobble! It took just over $9 to replace it at the dealer!! No auto store carries castle nut for some reason.(monopoly of dealers)
