Planning to restore my new 97 TJ this winter...

I want to start to plan what I will be doing to my new to me jeep this winter. I have not done any of this before so I need help! All is appreciated! I want to start with the rust. Surface rust on the body and some rusted through.. Plan to fix ALL body rust to make look new. I want it to be mechanically sound as well as in I want to fix surface rust and whatever else I find underneath. Do I need to rip the whole thing apart to the frame? Suggestions? How does the process go? Thanks!

Will post pics shortly.. Of body and underneath.

90% give or take can be repaired while the body is bolted to the frame however there are ares that you need to have the body and frame disconnected such as a body mount etc. I would try and fix everything while its still bolted together and go from there.
