Popping Noise

I have a 2003 Wrangler TJ. It has a 4" lift with 33" tires. I am hearing a soft popping noise coming from floor board to fire wall area. I can also feel it with my feet on the floor board. It is making the noise while I am driving or even if I push in the clutch and coast. The front drive shaft has very very little play when I get under and and try to shake it.

Ok I took my Jeep to the drive shaft shop and they pulled the front shaft and all was well. They drove the jeep with the front drive shaft out and still got popping noise. My u-Joints were in good shape so now back to square one

Just posted a thread about a strange popping noise I'm experiencing....went out and checked my tranny mount, seems swell.

When did you first notice the noise/under what condition did the noise first start?

Normal everyday driving. It didnt matter if i was on HWY or backroads or driving in a parking lot. Even if I had the clutch in coasting I could hear the popping noise coming from fire wall floor board area and could feel it in my feet.

Understood, but when did it first happen? That moment when you first heard/felt it and thought, "That doesn't sound right..."
