popping noise after lift

I just lifted my jeep 3" with the black diamond springs, previously it had 3" of spacers in the coils and i wanted them out so i just bought springs and put them in. Since putting them in, im hearing poppin noises from all corners. I used 3" springs, drop pitman arm and shocks. (no control arms or sway bar endlinks) Have any of yall had this problem or what do you think it could be?

why did you install a DPA? do you have a front trackbar drop bracket? if not you´ll have bad bumpsteer.
did you install spring pads on top of the springs?

without the pads its metal on metal and that makes more noise than with the pads.

only in curves? are all suspension parts tightened? are the CA or TB bushings worn out? or is it a worn out front swaybar?

if you are talking about the rubber pad thing that is above the coil spring in the front and rear then yes
and since you didnt use any I would say thats why you are getting the noise

Some have had a popping after a lift come from the T-case shifter bracket. Part of the bracket is attached to the tub and part attached the T-case. When the motor moves it binds the linkage and pops. I have only read about this no first hand experience.

When they gave you new shocks, did you have to put the metal pin looking thing in each eye loop or whatever you call it? Did you use oil? It would also make popping noise on holes and such though, not just while turning.

I'm guessing this is the same problem why people get bar pin eliminator kits.

hhmm perhaps that might be why? I mean i cant think of anything else that will be same for all 4 corners.

When i got my shocks, I couldnt press the pins through with out lube, they were tight

I had to give them few good whacks to get them in there.

they just make a pounding noise, thats all. When i had the rough country chocks, i had the noise. I replaced them with OME shocks and the thumping is gone.

Is it possible that the shocks are fully extending as you take turns? Could you be hearing the shocks pop as they hit the fully extended position?
