possible 5.2 v8 swap need knowledge

my father in law has a 98 Dakota 2wd with a 5.2 automatic that just got wrecked. mechanically its fine just all body damage. he said he'll sell me whatever I can use to drop the v8 into my 97 2.5 manual. I know ill need engine transmission computer and wiring harness from the truck. I know ill need heavier axles will the Dakota rear axle fit like a Ford 8.8 with the right modding? what else will I need from his truck to do this swap?
