Preferred H4 bulbs?

I just did the Rampage headlight conversion ($72 free shipping from Amazon) and they came with standard GE halogen bulbs. OK they work and look better then the old bulbs, but...

There has to be some middle ground between dingy yellow and zipperhead purple bulbs that last a while, won't fry my stock harness and don't cost $350 per bulb.

White light with a slight tinge of blue would suit me fine!

No blue with these, but they are very white and bright.

Fatboy bulbs.

How come the low beam wattage is higher than the high beam wattage?

I just installed the delta quad bar lights and they came with bright lights with a blue tint. They look amazing and they do have the replacement bulbs you could get.

I like the Fat Boys for my IPF assemblies but they didnt last very long. I switched to some Sylvanias - The "whitest" ones IIRC. They work fine so far and I would say lasted longer than the Fat Boys for less money.

The lenses have a nice cut off and the light is brighter on the dim setting. Twichers, did you touch the bulbs with your fingers? If so, the oil from your skin that was left on the bulbs probly caused the premature failure. If not, I have no idea. I ran mine in my last Jeep for 3 years without any problems.
