PSC crusher flares

I score a set of these brand new from my buddy for free! Score! My question is can these be used without the crusher corners? I know they will be way stronger with the corner guards but can i run them without? The two bolt holes by the rockers the backside is inside the body and i would be unable to thread the nut. Would i have to cut into the body and reweld after im done or use a nutsert??

Here are the flares

I run them without the crusher corners. As for the bolt, I stuck it through the hole, and didn't worry about putting a nut on the backside. I've had no problems for a year now.

I ran mine without corners for a while. Even made contact on a canyon wall with them and everything was still solid. I have corners now but for different reasons.

What did you do about the 2 bolts that go into the body?

I cut out the body a bit on the very bottom bolt closest to the door but just left the other one out.
