Purple or red 'ish'?

Either way...two things....transmission fluid or t-case fluid.

Where from undernth is it leaking? Have you crawled under there to see yet?

no it is coming from the rod that connects to that which then connects to the drive shaft

Do you have an SYE? Or does the drive shaft have this "rubber" boot going into the T-case?

You're gonna have to help us a little more, exactly what "little joint"? Do you mean the u-joint?

Can you use Paint or some other program to circle the part on one of the above photos that is leaking and post it?

That's your u-joint. If it is dripping grease, it has gone bad and needs replacing. Or if it is an aftermarket greaseable u-joint with a zerk fitting, perhaps it is just dripping a little from the zerk fitting which is not all that unusual. Wipe the u-joint off and if it's leaking grease from under one of the four bearing caps, it needs to be replaced.

One more thing it could be... leaking ATF from the transfer case blowing back onto the u-joint.
