Question about doors

Hey all, new here! Ive had my 98 wrangler for about three months now. When I bought it it had black full doors on it, (its green) and the dealership gave me the green half doors that are supposed to be on it. I recently decided to put the half doors on it and Im considering selling my full doors. What are they realistically worth? theyre in good shape, no major damage, maybe one or two scratches.

Welcome to the forum. Check craigslist, e-bay (closed auctions) and the for sale thread here on the forum. That should give you an idea on their resale value.

Welcome! You'll love your half doors. Full doors will bring a good price, but probably a higher price in the fall....

I agree with InfernoGirl, if you arent strapped for cash right now, hold off until fall/winter. The value of the doors wont decrease and when some poor guy is freezing is kahonas off he will pay top dollar for full doors. In good condition around winter here in Massachusetts, Ive seen them go for right around $1,000.
Good Luck!

I've seen them here in Georgia in the 4-800.00 range. If you live in an area with high rust/corrosion and your doors aren't then I'd shoot a little on the high side.

I agree. I have full doors and I'd like to have both. You can never have too many goodies in your garage.. I like my Jeep to keep a large wardrobe. Keeps the neighbors guessing as to what's going to roll out next.

I just bought a set in pristine condition for $400 in New York. Saw another set on Craigslist going for $500.

I stole my full doors (not litterally) for $200, the only problems are the weather stripping was missing, one mirror was busted out and the drivers handle was missing.

Doors 200
window seals 40
aftermarket handle 25

Total $265.00 for full doors... And I hav'nt seen 'em go for under $400 so I imagine thats a pretty good deal. I thought of selling my half doors but am keeping them for summertime. The full doors and the hardtop make it so much quieter going down the road, its a huge difference.

I am holding onto my half door just for that reason.

Also, YEAH! I noticed a big noise difference once I replaced the half doors, but last week when I installed my new hardtop I was flabbergasted at how much of a difference. (I knew it would make a huge difference, it just pleased me, greatly)

I have seen sets of full doors go on eBay for around $6-900 depending on the condition and how good the seller is at fully disclosing everything on the doors. Like some of the other guys said, if you arn't hurting for money I would hold on to them. I have both full and half and I love the fact that I have the option, especially if it is cold out!
