I put and aussie locker in my d30 carrier today. I finished putting in the little springs and the locker was in this position:
and it took ALOT of force to line up the holes to put in the cross shaft in. I had to push one of the axle gears(i think its called that) towards the middle, compressing the little springs, while someone else turned the locker and lined up the holes. Is this normal/fine, or is the whole thing supposed to spin/turn easily to line up the cross-shaft holes? This is the first time i've ever messed with a diff. so im just unsure.
