Exclamation RARE Jeep Carnage 2 (Lots of Quality PICS!!!!!!)

These are all the parts that I have replaced on my 2003 TJ. Keep in mind that it does not have a lift and have 30inch tires.

Changed out front pads 3 times
(currently have Ceramic Adaptive ONE)

Replaced front rotors
(with high quality ones)

Replaced two Oxygen Sensors
(required for dealer ship to provide warranty with Cat)

Rear Brakes
(with Tera Flex disc brake conversion)

Both Sway bar Links
(with AutoZone Parts)

Output Shaft
(replaced with SYE)

Rear End
(replaced with Alburn Ected)

U-Joints
(from front to back with Gold)

Drive Shaft
(replaced with a Tom Woods)

Driver’s side panel in the seat which had cracked in the cold
(professional replaced just the panel for $130)



Parts Replaced Under Warranty

Brand new man transmission
(Completely swapped out units)

Catalytic converter

The rear drum brakes broke at the same time and sent a huge jolt through the car. When I got out my tire was loose. I had a brake inspection done by Sears two days before. They paid for the broken stock parts. Notice the Bracket twisted on both sides and the drum caliper cracked and ripped off its bolts. The damage was identical on both sides. I have pictures of me fixing this in the snow outside my campus apartment. I had to finish so I could drive 3 hours north to make a flight it was the only thing that could get me there on time. Since it snowed three inches while I was installing this, my buddies and I agreed it was the Man-ly-est way it could have been fixed. Tools were frozen to the ground and getting misplaced when the snow covered them up.

A year later The Output shaft broke along with my rear diff. This occurred on a take off on the street.

The last picture shows me that u dont wheel..way to clean looks like u can eat under there..

Thats not that bad.

Rear Shoes (3 times)
Rear brake hardware
Rear brake adjuster hardware
Front Brakes pads
Front Rotors
Right rear axle seal (2)
Left Rear axle seal
Detroit Locker (trutrac exploded)
Complete Rebuild on the rear Dana 44
Oil Sensor
TPS
Crank Sensor
U-joints in rear driveshaft
Front Drivshaft
Shock bar pins (put in eliminators)
Shock Bushings
Drag Link Ball Joint (I think its the one)
Vacume actuator for heater defrost
Trans output seal
Transfer case input seal
Front pinion Seal
A CPU (died pulling out of the inspection shop)
Im sure theres more... in 3yrs 15,000 miles.

I wouldnt trade it for the world, especialy now that I have a lift I fell in love with it again.

Damn you guys must have bad luck, the only maintanance I've have to do on either of my jeeps is oil and fluid changes.

Oh yea and front sway bar links. Then I got into jeeps a lot and changed them to disconnects. The needed new ones to match the skyjacker track bar. Haha, so that makes three right, but thats my own fault. I didnt exactly know what vehicle maintence was for the first year of ownership.

Hey thanks Warpman89

It is just spray paint. first start out with Rust-Oleum Flat Protective Enamel then follow up with Krylon Indoor/Outdoor Gloss or Flat Black.

The underbody liner is textured normally and makes it more difficult to clean. The mud tends to stick to it. The glossy paint allows it to fall off easier. And once a year you can touch it up. In my opinion it holds up really well if you do it right the first time.

actually he does, if i'm right. you're tigertrack1600's buddy, you were at the badlands last year. tigertrack made a thread with all his carnage just a couple weeks ago.

i do gotta ask though, why no lift and an sye, and why lock the d35 after you tore it all to shreds?

I might come this year. Im more into the classic look if that means anything. In the future I plan on selling this and keeping it stock will make it easier. I know I wouldn't buy a used jeep with a lift and and all that is a huge sign its been off roading haha. Plus if I lifted my jeep lol I would be looked down upon by my family haha they don't get it. My mom flipped when Andrew drove down the drive hahaha.....

did you just spray over the factory paint? does it chip with different temp. extremes?

Yea directly over the factory. It holds up great when you do it right and if you maintain it, you will always looks new. I touch mine up once a year and it always looks new.

First start out with Rust-Oleum Flat Protective Enamel then follow up with Krylon Indoor/Outdoor Gloss or Flat Black.

Factory stuff replaced due to mech issues:

Manifold (cracked - under warranty/recall)
Catalytic converter (marbles - under warranty/recall)
Water pump (after 114k)
New belt
Resealed head cover

Rest is routine maintenance or swapped out for offroad gear.

nothing but maintenance so far.. except a slight main rear leak.. but that's a given..

knock on wood.. sucks that your rear end broke from regular driving.

knock on wood, my '01 has been great! i recently had to do my radiator but other than that, it's been typical maintenance / tune ups, etc. i had the sway bar links replaced right before i bought it [used] from Jeep. that includes wheeling and everything else. this thing has been a dream to own.
