RC 2.2 shocks?

I lifted my jeep with a RC 3.25" kit back in April, and after the install I was hoping it would "wear in" and soften up a bit. I was thinking about trying some different shocks to see if the ride improves. Anyone else feel the same way? I have the progressive springs and it rides pretty good, but can be harsh on potholes and speed bumps. It doesn't bother me that much, but my wife doesn't care for the ride. I guess I figured the new suspension would just soak up anything you threw at it, maybe I was expecting too much?

Its a kit from Rough Country. They have a reputation for a very stiff ride. I have an RC 4" lift, and like the stiffness.

Best riding shocks I have had on my TJ's and ZJ's have been from rustys off road. just the basic shocks for about 30-40 bucks as I recall.

I put on the 2.5" RC lift and thought the ride was rough also but then I noticed that the 2.2 shocks have rubber in them instead of polyurethane bushing letting the whole shock move without the shock doing it's job so I switched to skyjacker hydro 7000's a lot better ride, went ahead and put the skyjacker steering stablizer on too.

Just because it's a Jeep doesn't mean it has to ride like a tank.

Not expecting a luxury car ride by no means, I just think it should be better than it is. With all the technology out there today, you shouldn't have to compromise.
