RC 2.5" or the Rusty's 3" Lift

Help me decide. I plan on mounting 32" tires and not any higher, because my Jeep is my daily driver. The RC shocks look better, but in a couple threads people are complaining of the RC springs. I am a firm believer "you get what you pay for." The RC 2.5 appears to be a good kit, but why is it so much cheaper compared to other 2.5" kits? It's even cheaper than the Rusty's 2" basic kit and it has less parts. Are the Rusty springs better? Should I go with extended sway bar links and rear track bar bracket with a 2.5" lift?

I ran the Rustys 3" a few years back, not sure what has change since then. I was happy with it, though the springs did seem to sag a bit sooner than I would have thought. The shocks that came with the kit where great, infact one of the best I have run for the price. I did add a front adj track bar as I recall and just did the rear Track bar bracket. Flex was great even with the stock arms.

Spend the money on the Old Man Emu Lift. There is a reason why it cost so much. My friend wheels his 2006 Rubicon on black and reds with his. He has a 1.25 BL and tummy tuck with 33".

BTW...If you decide to get rid of your stock wheels and tires let me know. I have the picture of your jeep on 31's hanging in my office because that is how I want my red YJ to look like after i get my TJ flare.

RC 3.25" lift, is what you want, relocation brakets and extended links come with it. Progressive spring rate coils come with it making a smoother rider and good performance.

OME is way over priced for what you get, must be there coils are gold plated and there shocks have gold pistons. has to be, thats all that comes with the kit

Rustys 3" is a good kit to (will rust early), bang for the buck is RC

Old Man EMU shocks are almost $100 a piece. There is no better shock for the money. Most people attribute rough riding lift kits to spring not shock, even though that has just as much to do with the ride. Second off there isn't an actual OME lift kit. Dealers assemble the kits and choose what they include. As soon as you add good shocks to the Rusty's kit the price goes up an additional $350 or $400 depending on the brand of shock. So it is not ANY cheaper. In fact the the 2" OME kit is only $725 from HERE with free shipping.

I just ordered the 2.5" ome lift from there yesterday, $682.49

From everything I have read I don't feel it's over priced, it's $100 cheaper here than 4wd.com and it's rated for heavy accessories, bumper winch, hardtop etc... I think I'm going to very happy with it. That a 1" BL and some jks discos will do me wonders.
