Today I started to sand down and repaint the underside of my TJ. I live in upstate NY with tons of road salt and the Jeep has been up here its whole life (its a 97). Rust is [B]absolutely everywhere[B] underneath- the frame, skidplate, etc
Do I have to sand down to bear metal and repaint up from there to at least slow down the rusting? You really have to see it underneath to believe it- its just everywhere, not necessarily very bad in most places, just everywhere!
What can I do/use to at least slow this stuff down from destroying the underside?
ohh and just turned 183,000 not to long ago
