rear disk brakes

I was wondering how to get to the rear brakes. I need to know how to take the rear brake covers off.

wat kind off jeep/yr u got. mines got drum brakes on the rear, if u got drums, once u pull the wheel off, the hub will just come off, if its stuck, press ur brake pedal in one time firmly, if it still wont slide off tap the cover on the front side with a hammer, not hard though, just tap it around the edge and it should slide right off revealing your brake shoes and the whole assembly. and just kind of a tip for u, if ur not familiar with brakes, only dissassemble the driver or passenger side, one at a time, so u can go look at the other, driver or passenger. one for reference on getting it back together.

sorry gotta correct one thing, its the brake drum that is removed, not hub. hub is the part the studs are in, and the wheel bolts to. its always good to know the right terms. i'm kinda picky i know.

and if its drums you will have to hit the drum with a hammer most definately, rarely do they slide right off. don't be scared if you have to hit it a little hard after trying tapping. if you have discs it will look just like the front, there's no cover, once the wheel is off you're there. sounds like you have drums.
