Rear left axle seal leaking... again.

I've had this seal replaced twice in the last six months as it's been puking gear oil all over my brake pads, and I just got an inspection and it's happening again. I'm likely going to need to replace the axle, but wondering if anyone's had this happen to them? If it's a common issue with a hairline fracture I might be able to fix it more easily.

Thanks

Anyone? I could order a new axle but what can I check first?

You sure it's diff lube and not brake fluid. I recently blew out a wheel cylinder which soaked the brakes with brake fluid.

Yea mine does it as well. It's nothing drastic but it has a small leak, I've heard it's a pretty common issue, but I don't know why it keeps recurring to you after you fix it.

Just have to be careful when putting the axle back in. They get damaged very easily.

Just did all 4 on my Rubi... the front is worse than the back! Good luck.

I'm doubting that it was damaged as it went in as it was replaced twice by a mechanic. I've heard that some vehicles have spacer kits or repair kits for the axle, for this type of problem, but my local parts places seem to not have them for the TJ. Is there such a thing?
